Katherine’s eight year career in sustainability has seen her work across the transport, waste and water sectors. Katherine recently returned from the UK where she oversaw diverse initiatives focussing predominantly on sustainable transport and urban development. She drafted transport carbon reduction plans for public institutions; worked with land developers and government authorities to improve provision and maximise use of non-motorised modes; and devised strategies to influence businesses and the community to travel sustainably, particularly during major events. Katherine commenced her career with the Victorian Government. She has extensive experience designing and evaluating behaviour change initiatives targeting industry, employees and households. Policy development and stakeholder consultation have also been career foci. Katherine holds a Masters of Environment from University of Melbourne with specialisms in policy, governance and transport planning. From the same University she also attained Bachelors in Commerce (Economics) and Arts (politics and environmental studies).
