Melinda is a sustainability strategy, assurance, and integrated reporting specialist with over 10 years’ career experience in helping government and the corporate sectors improve their sustainability performance. Melinda advises major ASX listed companies and government agencies from a broad array of sectors including Energy and Utilities, Real Estate and Construction, Diversified Industrials, Telecommunications, Water and Financial Services. This experience has provided Melinda with first hand insights into the business imperative in sustainability strategy development, management and reporting across industries – reinforcing the competitive benefits of elevating sustainability from ‘a nice to do’ to an essential part of an organisation’s corporate strategy, brand and identity. Prior to Net Balance, Melinda worked at Sydney Water and the Department of Primary Industries (Victoria), conducting market research and developing market-based mechanisms to increase the adoption of sustainability programs by businesses and farmers. Melinda has a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science (Hons) and has authored a number of research papers and academic journals on sustainability and natural resource management policy. During her spare time Melinda enjoys dreaming and planning the next adventure. |
