Samantha Eyre

Samantha commenced with Net Balance in 2011, following the completion of her post graduate studies. Since joining Net Balance as a member of the Strategy, Governance and Reporting Team she has gained experience in sustainability reporting writing, assurance, stakeholder engagement and the implementation and auditing of environmental management systems. Samantha has assisted organisations in mapping a pathway for the transition to integrated reporting, developing strong business sustainability strategies, writing and editing sustainability reports and developing integrated environmental management systems. She holds a first class honours degree in geography and recently completed the MSc Environmental Technology at Imperial College London, specialising in Global Environmental Change and Policy. As part of her MSc she worked on a strategy for the Maldivian Government, which is being implemented as part of their plan to be carbon neutral by 2020. Her MSc thesis was a study of the UNFCCC and its role in progressing climate change negotiations. Samantha has extensive knowledge of the GRI, has written sustainability reports for and provided advice to companies including Alcoa of Australia, Transurban, Woodside and Maddocks. She has experience working with both the AA1000 and ASAE3000 Standards to provide assurance for some of Australia’s largest companies.
