Grant Bransgrove holds an honours degree in Environmental Science from the University of Newcastle and specialises in the measurement and verification of organisational greenhouse gas inventories. He spent the first seven years of his career in the utilities sector with WSN Environmental Solutions and Sydney Water and had a significant role in moving both organisations to full and integrated ‘triple bottom line’ reporting. He has spent the past two years working as a corporate sustainability consultant with Net Balance and the not for profit Net Balance Foundation where he has worked with a number of private and public sector corporations on greenhouse and climate change issues including greenhouse gas accounting and verification, strategy development and life cycle assessment. Grant has extensive knowledge of the major sustainability challenges facing modern corporations particularly in relation to climate change where he has advised multiple corporations of the risks and opportunities within a rapidly changing regulatory environment. Grant is currently studying for a Master of Climate Change at the Australian National University.
When he is not working on ‘carbon footprints’ Grant likes to leave his own footprints on his bike pedals and on the gym floor. He is also an avid Geelong Cats supporter but would prefer to talk about 2007 rather than 2008! |
