Cascade Pure - a new twist on responsible drinking

It’s new, refreshing and it’s a beer that’s certified carbon neutral. It’s Cascade Pure and Net Balance helped Foster’s establish its green credentials.

Cascade Pure is certified under Australia’s National Carbon Offset Standard (NCOS) Carbon Neutral Program. Every carbon emission from the picking of the hops to the moment the Cascade Pure bottle hits the recycling bin has been accounted for.

Net Balance carried out an extensive greenhouse gas life cycle analysis (LCA) of the beer in accordance with the ISO 14040 series. The analysis included greenhouse gas impacts from energy generation within Foster’s and its suppliers, waste and waste treatment, product marketing and packaging. It also covered estimates for greenhouse gas emissions associated with refrigerating the beer at the purchase point.

Net Balance also assisted Foster’s by completing a greenhouse gas LCA of Wolf Blass Green Label wine.

Both LCAs were independently reviewed.
