Ro heads the Sydney office of the Net Balance Management Group.
Ro's career path over the past 20 years spans a range of disciplines across private and public sectors, from real estate valuation, business consulting, energy and water utilities law, to climate change regulation and sustainability.
During her time in the New South Wales public sector, Ro successfully project managed legislative and consumer reforms in energy and urban water. Ro collaborated closely with State Owned Corporations, NSW Treasury, The Cabinet Office, and economic regulators such as IPART, in project managing the legal framework for establishing the NSW Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme, and corporatising State Water, a bulk water delivery business.
Prior to Net Balance, Ro was General Manager of the Global Sustainability Group at Lend Lease, working to integrate Lend Lease's understanding of its social, environmental and economic impacts across its global operations.
Ro holds a Masters degree in Communications and Cultural Studies, a Commerce degree majoring in Land Economy, an Honours degree in Law, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. She is also Director and NSW President of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association, and Non-Executive Director of the Western Sydney Parklands Trust.
Ro was recently appointed to the Consultative Group established by the Commonwealth Attorney General, advising on the National Reforms to the Legal Profession.
Ro is also a member of the Expert Panel for the City of Ryde’s 2030 Strategy, which will provide a sustainability ‘blueprint’ for businesses and communities within the 'Global Economic Corridor' under the Sydney Metropolitan Plan.
In the odd moments between work and being a busy mum to two children, Ro and her husband enjoy all things Tasmanian, and touring the countryside on their motorcycles. |
