Sustainability Reporting and the GRI Training

About GRI Training

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a network-based organisation that pioneered the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework. GRI is committed to the Framework’s continuous improvement and application worldwide and has developed the Certified Training Programs to spread sustainability reporting knowledge and skills around the world. The program helps report makers and users to utilise the GRI Framework and GRI reports more effectively.

Net Balance Foundation is a collaborating partner with the National Centre for Sustainability (NCS) Swinburne University of Technology and together we have been accredited as GRI Certified Training Partners in Australia and New Zealand. With experience gained working with some of Australia's largest organisations, Net Balance can provide relevant and meaningful case study examples and extensive reporting expertise to deliver regionally appropriate advice and guidance on sustainability reporting practices.

Accredited GRI courses will run throughout 2012 in Australia and New Zealand. Click on Learn More for the open session dates currently scheduled. Industry or organisational specific sessions can also be delivered for both types of courses. Please contact us if you would like additional information.

Net Balance Foundation and National Centre for Sustainability (NCS) Swinburne are pleased to offer two accredited GRI Sustainability Reporting courses, as well as non-accredited workshops:

  1. The GRI Certified Training Program is designed to support both new and experienced reporters prepare and review reporting processes.  An overview of the latest reporting trends and international case studies will also enable participants to improve year-on-year. This course is suitable for all types of organisations.

  2. The GRI Certified SMEs Training Program which is designed to support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) that are producing their first sustainability report. It will assist them to prepare and review reporting processes by enabling report makers and users to utilise the GRI Framework and GRI reports more effectively.

  3. We can also deliver shorter (non-accredited) workshops as required.
